Manuscript Submission Guidelines
Online Submission:
Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively online through the journal's website: https://syariahbiz.unizar.ac.id. Adherence to the following guidelines is crucial for a smooth and efficient publication process. Manuscripts that do not comply with these instructions may be returned to the authors for revision.
Originality Requirements:
- Original Work: The manuscript must be original and not previously published in any form.
- Plagiarism-Free: It should be free from plagiarism, including any form of data falsification or fabrication.
- Exclusive Submission: While under review by ShariaBiz, the manuscript cannot be submitted to another journal or publication outlet.
Article Length
There should be 3000–5000 words in the article. The editor will determine the maximum length for the submission; nevertheless, if the document is longer than the allotted word count, it may be returned to the author(s) for correction before the editors will consider it. Tables, figures, and references are not included in the word count.
Manuscript Format:
- Length: Aim for concise and clear writing, ideally not exceeding 20 pages, including all figures and tables.
- Spacing and Margins: Use single spacing on A4 paper (210 x 297 mm) with margins of 2.5 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, and right).
- Font: Employ Garamond, 12 pt, for the main text.
- Language: Manuscripts should be written in English, following APA Style guidelines for citations and references.
Manuscript Structure:
- Title:
The title should be concise and clear, accurately capturing the main idea of the manuscript. Use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters and ensure it is centered on the page. The title should be less than 20 words. - Authors:
List all authors along with their affiliations, specifying the Faculty Name and University Name. Clearly indicate the corresponding author with an email address for correspondence. - Abstract:
The abstract should not exceed 150 words and must succinctly describe the phenomenon studied, the purpose of the research, the methodology used, and the key findings. Provide the abstract in English, and include five relevant keywords. Keywords are the terms researchers use to locate articles in indexes and databases. They consist of a maximum of five words, arranged alphabetically and separated by a semicolon. Each word or phrase in the keywords should be separated by a semicolon (;), not a comma (,).
- Introduction:
- Give the problems a sufficient background and context based on the literature review. State theobjectives of the study and emphasize the originality (state of the art). The first part should contain a broader context, followed by more specific issues that become the study's focus.
- There is no theoretical background (literature review) section in this manuscript. However, authors must input the theoretical background in the Introduction Section. The theoretical background section establishes the foundation for your research. It presents relevant studies and theories that are directly connected to the research context. The theory can be informed through scientific articles, articles in journals, textbooks, or other respected sources of scientific writing. This theory will be used to provide the state of the art of your manuscript from research problems that have been proposed.
- The theories are mentioned and discussed, you need to form a problem that demonstrates why this manuscript is important and existing gaps. You must write the purpose of the manuscript, which should be presented in a narrative using effective sentences. The formulation of the hypotheses should be based on the theoretical review and, as far as possible, be expressed in terms of one-tailed direction.
- Methodology:
- The method must clearly describe the materials used in the study, the population and sample or key informant, research variables, data sources, the general procedures and techniques, the data collection technique, the analysis method, and data presentation.
- For research using experiments, the method should also include the design or the setup of the research. For article review, authors should also describe the theoretical components. For qualitative method, authors may include the methods in data condensation (for example, coding system), data display (how the data is presented which allow for drawing conclusion), and conclusion drawing. For quantitative method, authors may include the methods in sampling, data collection, and data analysis.
- Results and Discussion:
- Results and discussion section contains results obtained by the author during the research. The results of the research must be presented as a whole in advance, and can be followed by the process of discussion.
- Results and discussion of your manuscript must also be interconnected with the theory that you used. The author should show how the current result supports or contradicts previous studies, limitation of the study, and implication of the study (both managerial and scientific implications). This section also discusses the recommendation(s) for future research based on the limitation of the study.
- The discussion is presented systematically from general, then leads to the specific. Presentation of the research can be done with the help of tables, drawings/graphs, maps/plans, and schemes.
- Conclusion:
This section presents the main conclusionsof the study. It should be presented in concise, clear, and compact sentences based on the results and discussions; in the form of paragraphs (not with bullet points or numbering); clarify the findings of the study as a synthesis of the results of the data analysis and discussion; and highlight original findings that contribute to the development of science. The main conclusion of the study may be presented in a short conclusions section, which may stand alone. The conclusion should not repeat the results; instead, provide significant findings, contribution of the study, and the issue of this aim and scope towards this journal. - References:
- Reference List: Include all references cited in the article, with a minimum of 20 references.
- Recent Sources: Prioritize recent journal articles, ensuring at least one reference is from the last ten years, rather than relying on textbooks.
- Formatting: Follow APA style formatting for all references.
- Tables and Figures:
- Numbering and Titles: Number tables and figures sequentially using Arabic numerals and provide clear, informative titles.
- Placement: Present tables and figures on separate pages at the end of the manuscript.
- Quality: Ensure all figures and graphics are of high quality to maintain clear resolution in print.
